POTATO KUGEL (POTATO DUMPLING) 
1 c. minced onion
1/3 c. peanut oil
3 lbs. potatoes, grated coarse
2 lg. eggs, beaten lightly
1/4 c. potato starch, oriental
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. pepper

In a heavy skillet cook the onion in the peanut oil over moderately low heat, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes, or until softened. Remove the skillet from the heat and let cool.

In a large bowl combine the onion mixture with the remaining ingredients. Transfer the mixture to a well oiled 1 1/2 quart baking dish and bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 1 hour, or until crusty and golden.
