CUCUMBER & ONION PICKLES 
12 young cucumbers, sliced
6 onions, sliced

Add 1/2 cup salt, cover with water and let stand 2 hours. Drain. Add:

2 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. mustard seed
2 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. turmeric

Bring to a boil point. Pack in hot sterile jars and seal. Yield: 4 pints. Good with anything.
