CARAMEL DUMPLINGS 
Brown 1/2 cup sugar in large skillet. Add 4 teaspoons butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 cups boiling water, and 1 cup sugar. Cook until sugar is melted.

BATTER:

1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together. Add batter by spoonfuls to sugar mixture. Bake in hot 400 degree oven until done.
