Brown and drain 1 pound package sausage (I like to add 1/4 cup or 1 small onion chopped). Set aside.
In large bowl mix 10 eggs, 2 1/4 cups milk, 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Beat on medium speed 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in 3 slices cubed white bread 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp (I like extra sharp) Cheddar cheese, and sausage. Pour into ungreased 9 x 13 inch glass pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
You may prepare and refrigerate covered overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or you may omit bread and brown a 2 pound bag hash browns. Line baking dish with hash browns-proceed as above. May use 1/2 pound ham broken into pieces, instead of sausage.
