"REAL" POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter
1 lb. sugar (2 generous cups)
1 lb. eggs (10)
1 lb. flour (2 c.)
1/2 tsp. mace
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. rum flavoring
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring

Cream butter. Add sugar gradually. Add yolks of eggs. Make sure they are thoroughly blended. Add whites of eggs that have been beaten until frothy. Sift dry ingredients together. Slowly add to cake. Add flavorings. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake 1 1/4 hours at 350 degrees.
