FRUIT TOPPING (RUBY'S DESSERT) 
May be used over any fresh fruit or canned. Add sugar to taste to fresh fruit if needed. This recipe will cover one 9 x 13 inch pan of fruit or double it for a 12 x 17 inch pan.

1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Sift together all dry ingredients.

Beat 1 egg lightly with fork and add to dry ingredients. Mix with fork. Will be crumb-like.

Combine 1/4 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and sprinkle evenly over topping surface.

Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream. This is a quick and easy way to serve berries, peaches, or any mixed fruits.
