PEANUT BUTTER 'N FUDGE BROWNIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter, soft
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. peanut butter chips, if desired

1/4 c. butter, soft 1/4 c. sugar 1 1/2 tbsp. flour 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 inch pan. Cream 1 1/2 cups sugar and 3/4 cup butter until fluffy. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and 3 eggs and beat well. Gradually stir in dry ingredients. Stir in chips if desired.

In a small bowl, cream peanut butter and 1/4 cup butter. Add 1/4 cup sugar and 1 1/2 tablespoons flour and blend well. Add egg and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and mix until smooth. Spread half of chocolate mixture in pan, next peanut butter mixture, then remaining chocolate mixture. Gently cut through layers to marble. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until center springs back slightly when touched. Can be frosted, if desired.
