2 lbs. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
4 c. mashed potatoes
1 can beef gravy

Cook hamburger and onion until well done. Butter casserole. Place mashed potatoes, layer of crumbled hamburger and onion, then another layer of mashed potatoes. Put gravy on top of pie to cover. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes.
