2/3 c. softened shortening
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Mix shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla until fluffy. Add in flour, soda and salt. When well mixed, add in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop teaspoon of dough on cookie sheet.

Bake at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes.
