CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BARS | |
1 box chocolate cake mix 1 egg 1 stick butter Mix together until grainy. Reserve 1 1/2 cups for top. Melt 14 ounce bag caramels, 1 stick butter and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. In 13 x 9 inch pan press first half of mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Cool. Dissolve caramels, butter and milk until smooth. Pour over cooled cake. Pour on remaining mixture. Add chopped walnuts. Cook additional 25-30 minutes. Cut into bars after cooled a bit. |
