BLACK OIL CAKE 
Beat together:

1 c. salad oil
1 c. buttermilk or 1 c. milk and 1 tbsp. vinegar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift and add to the above:

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Add 1 cup boiling water and bake at 325 degrees for one hour in a greased and floured pan.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. buttermilk
1 lb. powdered sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
Nuts

Bring butter, milk and cocoa to a boil. Add powdered sugar, nuts and vanilla. Spread while cake is warm.
