FRIED OKRA 
Oil for frying
2 eggs
1 tbsp. water
1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
3/4 c. corn meal
1 lb. okra, with tops cut off
Salt

In fryer heat oil to 350 degrees. In shallow dish beat eggs with water. Place flour on a sheet of wax paper, corn meal on another sheet of wax paper. Working in batches, dip okra in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in egg, then in corn meal. Cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Keep warm while cooking remaining okra. Sprinkle with salt. Makes 6 servings.
