HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
3 lbs. potatoes, steamed in jackets the day before
1 lb. bacon, cubed & lightly browned
3/4 c. onion, slivered
6 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. vinegar
3 c. water

Dice potatoes; add onion and bacon. Add flour to bacon fat and mix well. Add vinegar, water, sugar and salt, and boil until thick. Pour over potatoes. Blend well and cook over low heat to warm or put in crock pot.
