"PINES" SUNDAY CHICKEN DINNER 
1 roasting chicken
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pkg. onion soup mix
Seasoned salt
1 onion, sliced
14 slices toasted bread

Place chicken in roasting pan. Cover with 1/2 package onion soup mix and seasoned salt. Cook at 350 degrees until tender.

STUFFING:

Put shortening in fry pan; add onions and fry until brown. Season with salt and pepper. Break up toasted bread; put in onion and add water a little at a time until soft. Serve with chicken.
