GOLDEN RAISIN SCONES 
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter, cut into bits
1/2 c. golden raisins
2/3 c. milk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tbsp. sugar

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add raisins, milk and eggs; stir until evenly moistened. Knead dough into a ball on a well floured surface; pat into a 9 inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges. Transfer to an ungreased baking sheet. Brush tops of scones with milk, then sprinkle with sugar. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until a pale golden color. Calories: 290 each.

ORANGE CREAM CHEESE SPREAD:

8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. orange juice or milk
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1 tbsp. honey
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

In a small bowl, beat all ingredients together. Spoon into a small crock. Makes about 1 cup. Calories: 60 per tablespoon.
