ORANGE OATMEAL ROUNDS 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
2 tbsp. orange juice
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. coarsely chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add the egg and beat well. Mix in the orange juice and grated rind, rolled oats and raisins. Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Combine with the creamed mixture. Add the nuts. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 minutes.
