SCOTCH SHORTBREAD 
3 c. plain flour
3/4 c. sugar
3 sticks butter
1 tsp. vanilla

GLAZE:

2 c. 10X sugar
Water to make to glaze consistency
1 tsp. vanilla

On counter, place all ingredients for cookies. With hands, make into a soft dough. Place on cookie sheet and roll out the length of the sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 12 to 15 minutes. Cut into 1-inch squares. Cool. After cookies cool, glaze.

Do not try to make this cookie with mixer, it will not work.
