BUTTER CREAM ICING 
3/4 c. Pet milk
1 egg white
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
Dash salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites. Add sugar. Heat milk to lukewarm; add to egg and sugar. Cream shortening and butter together. Add to mixture and beat until smooth. (Mixture will look like it is curdling - just keep beating, you're in for a big surprise.) Add vanilla.
