BACON DRESSING 
4 strips bacon
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
1 egg, beaten

Fry bacon until crisp. Save drippings. Combine flour, sugar and salt. Combine vinegar and water in a separate bowl and slowly add to dry ingredients, stirring with wire whip. Add beaten egg and mix thoroughly. Heat on stove at medium heat, stirring constantly until boiling and thick. Add bacon drippings and blend in with wire whip. Serve warm over lettuce.
