MACARONI-BEEF CASSEROLE
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. sliced onions
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1/4 c. celery (optional)
1 can tomatoes (14 or 16 oz.)
2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz.)
1 can tomato paste (6 oz.)
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. thyme
Dill, 2 sm. pinches
1 can mushrooms (4 oz.)
8 oz. macaroni (cooked)
2 to 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Garlic, salt and pepper to taste

Brown ground beef lightly - drain. Brown onion, peppers and celery until just barely cooked. Put meat back into pan. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste; mix. Add spices, Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms; add macaroni and cook, stirring every so often for approximately 1/2 hour.

Pour into casserole, 2 1/2 - 3 quart size. (Can be frozen at this time.) Cover with cheese slices. Bake in 350 degree oven until cheese melts (approximately 20-30 minutes).

(If mixture becomes too dry in frying pan while you are cooking, mix 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup ketchup and add. You might still have to add a little more water.)
