BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/3 tsp. baking soda
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. orange flavor
1 tsp. lemon flavor

Cream Crisco and sugar. Mix soda with buttermilk and gradually add along with flour to Crisco and sugar mixture. Separate eggs and beat egg whites until stiff and after adding all other ingredients. Add egg whites. Pour into a greased and floured tube cake pan. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes in oven at 325 degrees or until done.
