CHOP SUEY OR CHOW MEIN 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. onion, cut fine
1 tsp. salt
1 can LaChoy bean sprouts, well drained
2 c. celery, cut fine
2 c. cooked pork, beef, veal or chicken, chopped fine
1/16 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. water

Or 1 can LaChoy mixed Chinese vegetables, drained.

FLAVORING AND THICKENING:

1 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. cold water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. LaChoy soy sauce

Melt butter in a hot skillet, add onions and fry for 3 minutes, add celery, salt, pepper and hot water. Cook and cover for 5 minutes. Add drained bean sprouts or Chinese vegetables and meat. Mix and cook 5 minutes. Combine and add flavoring and thickening. Stir lightly and cook 1 minute. Serve with either rice or noodles.
