OVERNIGHT SALAD | |
1 head lettuce 1 head cauliflower 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise 1 onion, chopped 1 green pepper (opt.) 1 lb. bacon, fried 1 bunch broccoli 1 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese 1 c. fresh mushrooms 1 can water chestnuts Chop veggies and tear lettuce. Layer lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli, onion, pepper, mushrooms and crumbled bacon. Mix mayonnaise with sugar to taste (1 to 2 tablespoons), thin with a little milk if desired. Pour over layers. Sprinkle with cheese. Refrigerate, covered, overnight. Toss and serve. Serves 8 to 12. |
