QUICK ITALIAN TOMATO SAUCE 
2 tbsp. oil

1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c. chopped onion

Add and cook over medium heat until browned, breaking into small pieces:

1 lb. ground beef

2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
1/2 c. coffee beverage
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Simmer uncovered over very low heat, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes or until thickened.

4 oz. can mushrooms
1/4 tsp. oregano

Simmer 5-10 minutes. If sauce becomes too thick, stir in 1/2 cup water.
