TOP PART:

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla

LOWER PART:

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/3 c. hot water
1/4 tsp. vanilla

First you will need 1 (9") pie crust. (Mix by hand.) LOWER PART: Combine sugar and cocoa. Add hot water and vanilla. (Mix by hand.) UPPER PART: Cream shortening, add sugar and eggs. Alternate milk with dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
