CHILI MAC 
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, undrained
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
2 tsp. chili powder
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
1 c. uncooked macaroni

In skillet cook meat, onions and green pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. (Electric skillet at 350 degrees.) Drain off fat. Stir in tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, salt and bay leaf. Bring to boiling. Add macaroni. Cover, reduce heat (220 degrees). Simmer, stirring frequently until macaroni is cooked, 15 to 18 minutes. Remove the bay leaf before serving. Makes 6 servings.

I like chili mac and had never made it before. I tried this recipe and it was alright. The only difference was, I added 2 bay leaves, a big splash of vinegar and 2 tbsp. of sugar. And an extra can of tomato sauce (8 oz.) It was easy to throw together and great with cornbread.
