ONE, TWO, THREE CAKE | |
1 c. Crisco or butter 2 c. sugar 3 c. Swansdown cake flour 4 eggs, separated 1 c. milk 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 3 tsp. vanilla, regular or white Blend the Crisco or butter and sugar together. Sift salt, baking powder and flour together three times. Slowly add egg yolks and milk. Add vanilla last. Beat egg whites until they stand in peaks and gently fold into cake mixture. Makes a three or four layer cake or you can use a Bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until done. |
