HOT VIRGINIA DIP 
1 c. pecans, chopped
2 tsp. butter
16 oz. cream cheese, softened
4 tbsp. milk
5 oz. dried beef, minced (rinse in water to remove some of the salt)
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 c. sour cream
4 tsp. onion, minced (optional)

Saute pecans in butter; reserve. Mix all other ingredients well with mixer. Place in 1 1/2 quart baking dish; top with pecans. Chill until serving time. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve hot with crackers or small bread sticks.
