PIZZA CASSEROLE | |
1/2 lb. Italian sausage (casing removed) 1 lg. onion diced 1 med. clove garlic crushed Minced onion and garlic salt may be substituted) 1 lb. ground round 1 tsp. oregano 1 (26 oz.) jar marinara sauce 3 c. elbow macaroni (cooked) 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, shredded 1. In large skillet, cook sausage, breaking up with a spoon. With a slotted spoon remove sausage to a bowl and discard fat except for 1 teaspoon. 2. Heat same skillet and saute onion and garlic until soft. Add beef and oregano and cook until lightly brown. Drain fat. Add marinara sauce and heat for 10-15 minutes. 3. Add beef mixture, sausage, and noodles in large casserole dish. Stir together. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top. 4. Cook in 400 degree oven for 20-30 minutes or until Mozzarella is lightly browned and melted. The kids love it and so will you! |
