CHERRIES IN THE SNOW 
6 egg whites
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cans cherry pie filling
2 c. miniature (white) marshmallows
2 c. whipping cream (can use Cool Whip)
2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
9 x 13 inch cake pan
Oven heated to 400 degrees
Foil

Beat 6 eggs whites to soft peaks. Gradually add 1/2 cup white sugar, cream of tartar, salt and beat to stiff peaks. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Spread meringue into greased 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Place into oven, now turn oven off and leave until cool.

Next spread the following on your baked meringue shell and refrigerate (cover with foil). Cream 1 cup of sugar, cream cheese; fold in whipping cream, vanilla and miniature marshmallows.

Before serving: Open the 2 cans of pie filling and spoon over the top of the above mixture. Cut in squares and serve.
