FRESH CRAB CAKES | |
1 lb. crab meat, fresh, picked over, shell & cartilege removed 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 to 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce 1 onion, chopped fine 1 green pepper, chopped 3 tbsp. mayonnaise 3 slices bread ground into crumbs Mix eggs, hot pepper sauce and vegetables and mayonnaise. Mix in crumbs. Fold in crab meat. Form into patties and let stand in refrigerator 1 hour. Fry 3 minutes per side. Serve with tartar sauce or seafood sauce and lemon wedges. |
