PUFF PASTRY 
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. water
1 c. flour

Cut butter in flour. Add water. Roll into a ball. Cut in half. Spread dough into 2 long sections on cookie sheet.

STEP 2:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 c. flour
1 tsp. almond extract
3 eggs

Boil water and shortening. Add flour and almond. Stir. Add eggs one at a time. Spread onto crusts. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. Spread with butter cream icing, sprinkle with nuts.
