CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. sifted reg. flour
2 eggs
2/3 c. cocoa
2 c. strong coffee
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar a little. Add all ingredients Beat at regular speed about 5 minutes. Pour in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees approximately 40 minutes.

ICING:

1 c. sugar
5 to 6 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. + 1 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. cream or evaporated milk

Mix all ingredients for icing. Bring to boil on slow fire. Needs little cooking. Remove from fire. Beat to spreading consistency. Spread on cooled cake.
