GRANDMA'S SHAPE COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. unsifted unbleached flour
1 c. toasted wheat germ (not sweetened)
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

1. Stir together flour, wheat germ, spices.

2. Cream butter and sugar.

3. Beat in egg and vanilla.

4. Add dry ingredients.

5. Mix well.

6. Chill dough briefly, divide into 2 or 3 balls.

7. Roll dough on floured board about 1/8 inch thick.

8. Cut into favorite shape.

9. Bake on a greased cookie sheet until golden brown, 350-375 degrees.

Yields 75 or more depending on size. Store in tight container in refrigerator.
