FRUIT BARS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
2 c. flour
1 can pie filling (cherry, strawberry or blueberry)

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add flour and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread batter in a greased cookie sheet or jelly roll pan. Mark lightly into 20-24 squares with a knife. Place 1 tablespoon pie filling into center of square. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. While hot sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into squares when cool. Can use any flavor jam or jelly instead of pie filling.
