CHOCOLATE - OAT CAKE | |
1 c. quick oats 3/4 stick butter 1/2 bar German chocolate 1 1/4 c. boiling water 1 1/4 c. sifted plain flour 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla FROSTING: 1/2 c. canned milk 6 tbsp. soft butter 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. chopped nuts 3/4 c. coconut Mix first 4 ingredients together and let stand 15 minutes. Then add remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes in 9 x 13 inch glass dish. For frosting mix all together and spread on cake as soon as baked. Turn oven on broil and brown. |
