PHILIP'S BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 c. softened butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. water
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. coconut (or nuts)
1 pkg. (12 oz.) butterscotch flavored chips

Beat butter, sugars, vanilla, water and eggs until light and fluffy. Mix flour with soda and salt; blend into butter mixture. Stir in coconut and chips. Drop 2 inches apart from teaspoon onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Makes about 8 dozen.
