MARINADE FOR FISH
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 stick butter
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/3 c. sugar

Cook garlic and onion in covered saucepan on medium-low heat until tender. Add butter and soy sauce and cook until onion and garlic are soft. Add sugar and continue cooking until sugar is dissolved.

Marinate fish (we use chunks of halibut) about 30 minutes, then cook over charcoal. Excellent!

For chicken or steak: We use the same recipe, substituting teriyaki sauce for the soy sauce and marinating about an hour.
