ICE CREAM TOPPING 
1 heaping c. chopped pecans
4 oz. rum or bourbon
1 (16 oz.) jar pineapple preserves
1 (4 oz.) container red candied cherries
1 (4 oz.) container green candied cherries

Mix pecans and liquor. Let stand for 2 hours. Quarter cherries. Add cherries and pineapple preserves to nuts and stir. Refrigerate mixture for 1 week before using.
