MICROWAVE LASAGNA | |
1 lb. ground beef 6 oz. can tomato paste 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 7 to 8 noodles 15 oz. ricotta cheese 10 to 12 oz. mozzarella cheese 1 egg Brown beef. Add crushed garlic or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon parsley, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon basil, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, tomato paste, tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water. Mix and cover. Simmer. Mix 1 1/2 cup ricotta cheese with slightly beaten egg, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and 1 tablespoon parsley. In 2 quart baking dish put 1/3 of sauce, 3 noodles, 1/2 cheese mixture, layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat. Add last of sauce and sprinkle 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese on top. Cover with plastic wrap leaving corner open for steam. Cook on high 8 minutes. Then cook on medium (simmer) 16 minutes. Remove and cover with aluminum foil, shiny side down. Let sit 20 minutes. |
