EGG ROLLS | |
1 lb. ground pork 1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. celery, diced 1 c. diced spring onions 1 c. grated carrots 1 sm. can water chestnuts, diced 2 tbsp. cooking oil 3 cloves garlic, crushed and diced Salt and pepper to taste Oil for deep frying 1 pkg. wonton wrappers from any oriental or grocery store In a skillet place cooking oil, heat and brown the garlic. Add the pork, cook, stirring well, then add beef. Stir to mix with pork. Season with salt and pepper. Let cool for 3 minutes. Drain. Add the remaining ingredients; mix. Cool. Wrap in won tine wrapper using 1 tablespoon mixture. Heat enough oil in deep skillet. Using medium heat, fry egg rolls until golden brown. Serve with Sweet and Sour Sauce. |
