SOPHIA'S APPLE CRUMB PIE 
5 c. apples (5-7)
1 (9") pastry shell, unbaked
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. butter
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. sugar

Pare and cut apples and arrange in pie shell. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Mix 1/3 cup sugar with flour, cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. If pie browns too quickly, cover edge with foil. Cool.
