30 MINUTE BEEF STROGANOFF 
1 - 1 1/2 tsp. round, top steak
Salt & pepper
2 tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. red wine
Flour
3/4 c. water
1 lg. onion
1 box sliced mushrooms
1 (8 oz.) sour cream

Slice beef cross grain (works best if partially frozen) paper thin. Dredge in seasoned flour. Brown in shortening. Add wine (may substitute 2 tablespoons vinegar and 2 tablespoons catsup) and water and cover. Simmer for 20 minutes. Slice onion in 1/2" wedges. Add onions and mushrooms to beef and saute until onions are clear. Add sour cream and heat 5 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 4.
