These cookies were one of my favorite at Christmas time. Mom used a hand cookie press (thank goodness for electric cookie shooters today). We watched amazed at the different shapes of cookies Mom made. She let us decorate them and then we couldn't wait to eat them. The best part of all. My children love to watch me make these and then they get to decorate them also. Make dozens because they tend to disappear long before Old Saint Nick arrives.

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

Cream cheese, sugar and butter until fluffy. Add flour gradually until well blended.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
