STRAWBERRY BREAD | |
1 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. lemon extract 4 eggs 3 c. flour 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. sour cream 1 c. chopped nuts (optional) 1 (10 oz.) frozen strawberries (or 1 c. fresh sliced berries and 2 tsp. sugar) Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla and lemon extracts. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each one. Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Add sour cream, strawberries and nuts. Bake in greased floured loaf pans for 40-55 minutes at 350 degrees. Freezes well. |
