CINNAMON BAKED APPLE 
2 tsp. butter
1 tbsp. dark brown sugar
1 tbsp. chopped pecans
2 med. apples, Rome Beauty
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Dash nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small skillet, melt butter. Add brown sugar, stir until sugar melts. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and nuts. Stir and set aside. Core apples. Cut apples in half crosswise. Place apples, cut side down, in an ungreased 8" square baking pan or shallow casserole dish. Spoon 1/4 of the sugar mixture into each half apple. Cover with foil or a lid. Bake in preheated oven until apples are tender, 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm. 4 servings.
