1/4 c. Crisco shortening
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 lg. egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together shortening, butter and sugar. Blend in egg. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt, add to butter mixture, mix well and add vanilla, blend well. Divide dough into 2 parts. Chill 1-2 hours for easier handling. Roll to 1/8 inch thickness. Preheat oven to 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
