SKILLET COOKIES 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tbsp. white corn syrup
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped dates
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. coconut

Melt butter in skillet. Stir in sugar, egg, syrup, dates and nuts. Cook over low heat until thick (about 12 minutes). Remove from heat, cool slightly (just enough to handle). Stir in Rice Krispies and vanilla. Shape into balls and roll in coconut.
