2 c. self rising flour 1/4 to 1/2 c. solid shortening 3/4 c. milk Cut shortening into the flour. Stir milk in flour. Turn onto floured surface sprinkled lightly with flour. Knead 10 times until no longer sticky. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 450 degrees until brown. Yields 12 (2 inch) biscuits. |
