SAVORY GLAZED VEGETABLES 
Prepare onions, squash, carrots, sweet potatoes or parsnips for 4. Cut into serving pieces. Cook until tender in water. Drain. Place in baking dish. Flavor with salt and pepper to taste. Dot with butter. Pour on 1/4 cup syrup. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Baste often.
